Denmark will join the implementation of the project to build a new water pipeline in Mykolaiv, involving its experts.

This was stated by Mykolaiv City Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych on Thursday, December 19, during a City Council session, NikVesti write.

According to him, the project received support during a meeting held on December 18 at the Danish Embassy. The meeting was attended by Danish Ambassador Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, Head of the Mykolaiv RMA Vitalii Kim, Head of the Recovery Agency Serhii Sukhomlyn, and Oleksandr Sienkevych.

It is noted that Denmark will involve its experts, which will not only reduce construction times, but also optimize costs, which will reduce the final cost of water for consumers.

«Yesterday (December 18) at the Danish Embassy we had a meeting with the Danish Ambassador to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, where we discussed the country's technical support for the project to build a new pipeline. Denmark promised to join this project and involve its experts to ensure that it happens as quickly and efficiently as possible, and as a result, reduce the cost of the last cubic meter of water for the consumer,» said Oleksandr Sienkevych.

Let us recall that the state budget of Ukraine for 2025 includes 8 billion hryvnias for the construction of a new water supply system for Mykolaiv to provide the city with drinking water.

Previously, the head of the Restoration Agency, Serhii Sukhomlyn, stated that delays in the implementation of the project to build a new water pipeline were due to the lack of a detailed project and the division of responsibility between authorities.
