The former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed Zakharchenko of a new suspicion of actions against the national security of Ukraine

The police filed a new indictment against ex-Minister of Internal Affairs Vitalii Zakharchenko. According to the investigation, in 2022 he tried to induce Ukrainian officials to commit treason.
This was reported to the SBI about the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to law enforcement officials, immediately after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Vitalii Zakharchenko called Ukrainian officials, offering to sign a treaty with the Russian Federation on «friendship and protection.» This involved the voluntary surrender of territories to the enemy in exchange for receiving «high positions».
"At the same time, the traitor emphasized that he was acting on behalf of the leadership of the Russian Federation. In the future, the ex-minister participated in the creation and publication of a number of video recordings and digests with the aim of forming anti-government sentiments in society in order to assist the Russian Federation in carrying out subversive activities against Ukraine. In his speeches, the exhibitor justifies and recognizes the legitimate armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorifies the representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation,» the SBI reported.
He was suspected of actions directed against the national security of Ukraine, as well as against peace, human security, and the international legal order.
Previously, Vitalii Zakharchenko was already a suspect in the «Maidan» cases for organizing and committing a number of serious and especially serious crimes, including usurpation of state power, excess of authority, appropriation and embezzlement of property in a particularly large amount, intentional murders and causing bodily harm of varying degrees of severity.
