Ukraine will be able to use the F-16 from Belgium only on its territory

F-16 aircraft and other weapons that Belgium will transfer within the framework of the security agreement, Ukraine will be able to use only on its territory.

Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander de Croo said this at a press conference, Politico reports.

We will remind that Belgium will transfer 30 of its F-16 fighters to Ukraine by 2028.

Alexander de Croo, answering the question whether F-16s can be used in Russia, said: «Regarding the use of weapons, everything stipulated in this agreement is very clear, it is intended for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine.»

He noted that Belgium will «do everything possible» to deliver several planes already this year.

It was previously reported that the first group of Ukrainian pilots completed training on modern F-16 fighters at the American military base in Arizona.
