Since the beginning of the year, ₴53 million has been spent on shelters in the Voznesensk district of Mykolaiv Oblast

In 2023, the communities of the Voznesensk district allocated 53 million hryvnias from their own budgets for shelter. So, since the beginning of the year, 26 protective structures have been repaired in the Voznesensk district, and 5 more are currently in operation.

The acting head of the Voznesensk District Military Administration, Antonina Sharat, told about this at the briefing, NikVesti writes.

So, according to her, as of now there are 209 protective structures in the district, 114 of them are the simplest shelters. As a rule, this shelter is in educational institutions. Therefore, according to Antonina Sharat, in the Ascension Region in the 2023-2024 academic year, 83% of educational institutions work in full-time and mixed formats.

— The structure of expenditures this year changed towards the security component. And thanks to the fact that such a significant financial resource was directed to creating safe conditions, we managed to organize such forms of education as face-to-face and mixed in most institutions, — she said.

In addition, this year Voznesensk district received a subvention for the repair of shelters in educational institutions. Thus, under the conditions of co-financing of the state and local budgets, work is currently being carried out at the Oleksandrivka Lyceum. The state allocated 22 million hryvnias for this.

— Oleksandrivka community was one of the first to apply for competitive selection and received 22 million funds from the state budget. It also invests part of its funds under the terms of co-financing. Work is currently underway on the construction of a completely new shelter at the Oleksandrivka Lyceum, the total cost of which is 37 million hryvnias, — said Antonina Sharata.

At the same time, the radiation shelter is being repaired at the Voznesensk hospital. The works are also carried out under the conditions of co-financing of the state and local budgets.

— Together with the communities, we are actively working on replenishing the project and estimate documentation, in order to be able to attract donor funds, budget funds, and own funds, and to ensure the creation of safe conditions, — emphasized Antonina Sharata.

As a reminder, 23 shelters are promised to be repaired in residential buildings in Mykolaiv by the end of the year. Currently, specialists are performing work in two facilities on Tsentralnyi Avenue.

According to him, after the implementation of the project, the shelters will meet the current standards of Ukraine.

As you know, the Mykolaiv region has become one of the six regions of Ukraine with the worst shelter conditions. According to Vitalii Kim, the largest percentage of abandoned warehouses is in the regional center.

We will remind that in Mykolaiv, more than 70 million hryvnias were allocated from the city budget for the repair and equipping of shelters. However, the city budget of Mykolaiv will not receive funding from 102 million for the repair of protective structures in schools and kindergartens, which the Cabinet of Ministers has allocated for the Mykolaiv region.
