House of Culture of the Portsmen in Mykolaiv want to sell «under the hammer» as soon as the city is excluded from the list of territories close to the war zone

The management of the regional branch of the State Property Fund of Ukraine plans to auction the building House of Culture of the Portsmen in Mykolaiv. However, this will happen under the condition that Mykolaiv will be excluded from the list of territories that are close to the bottom of the combat zone.

Oleh Sokol, Deputy Chief of the Regional Office for Odesa and Mykolaiv Oblasts, told about this at the briefing, NikVesti reports.

«Currently, Mykolaiv is in the zone close to the combat zone, and the date of its completion has not been determined by the resolution. As soon as this date is determined, the object will be offered for sale,» he said.

According to Oleh Sokol, even before the full-scale war, there were several unsuccessful attempts to privatize this state-owned facility. However, all agreements were broken.

«This object has a very complicated history. First of all, the object was known for rent, it was not successful, the tenant did not take care of the object. Then it was put up for sale, it was offered for sale several times, but there were lots that took advantage of the fact that the starting price of the object was not high, took part in the auction, drove the prices to unreasonable levels, and then did not sign the contract,» said Oleh Sokol.

Despite this, the winners of the auction paid a guarantee fee each time, which is 10% of the initial value of the object. In this way, the regional branch of the State Medical University collected an amount that exceeded the value of the object, which at that time amounted to 50 thousand hryvnias.

Oleh Sokol could not name the book value that will be established for the future sale of the building. However, he noted that the price will be several times higher than the amount for which the object was tried to be sold in 2020-2021, since during the lease, work was carried out to improve the condition of the building.

«For today, we cannot yet say what the cost will be, but I believe that it will not be very high. Today, we believe that the starting price will be several times higher than the one for which we started selling in 2020-2021,» he said.

It will be recalled that only on April 11 of this year, the building «House of Culture of the Porters» was returned to the state property, due to the fact that the tenant did not fulfill his obligations to ensure the proper maintenance of the premises and did not pay the rent from 2019.
