The reconstruction of the Mykolaiv Lyceum №51, which was destroyed during the Russian shelling, will be handled by the Service for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure in the Mykolaiv Region.
Oleksii Savchuk, director of the Capital Construction Department of the city council, reported this in a comment to NikVesti.
Currently, the management has announced repeated tenders for the development of project and estimate documentation for the reconstruction of the lyceum. They plan to spend 7.7 million hryvnias on these works, according to data from the public procurement system ProZorro.
The previous tender had to be canceled because it was necessary to make changes to the technical documentation, Oleksii Savchuk explained. The contractor will have to develop the project by June 30, 2024.
«In December 2023, we announced a procurement for the design of this lyceum, but during the procurement it became necessary to make changes to the technical task, which led to its re-announcement in 2024. Currently, the procurement process is ongoing, and the duration of the project is approximately five months. That is, we expect to receive the project documentation in the summer,» said the director of the Capital Construction Department.
In total, it is planned to build three main buildings: primary, middle and senior classes, Oleksii Savchuk said.
«Our task is not just to rebuild it as it was. This is a simple way, but it is not modern. We will follow the path of «build back better». That is, to rebuild better than it was. This will be a very modern project, which involves the construction of a complex of buildings. These are four-story, two-story and one-story buildings, which will be formed by age groups. The total area of the institution will be approximately 18,000 square meters and will be able to accommodate 1,500 students. That is, under all buildings there will be basements that will be used as shelters. There will be modern sports areas, a football field, a universal field for basketball and volleyball,» said Oleksii Savchuk.
According to the report on the pre-project works of the object, during the restoration, several zones are planned to be built there: educational, sports, economic and household, active and quiet recreation zones. At the same time, green zones, a three-meter fence, basketball and volleyball courts, a football stadium with running tracks, and sports fields are going to be built in the lyceum.
After making the project, he added, the reconstruction of lyceum №51 will be handled by the Service for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure in the Mykolaiv Region.
«With regard to reconstruction, after the development of the project documentation, this object will be transferred to the Infrastructure Reconstruction and Development Service. It is she who will deal with the further construction of this lyceum,» said Oleksii Savchuk.
What awaits the destroyed Lyceum №51?
As you know, at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 25, it was decided to allocate 667.9 million hryvnias for the restoration of five objects in the Mykolaiv region. The list included, in particular, the construction of the Mykolaiv Lyceum №51, the building of which was hit by a Russian rocket in July 2022.
At first, the head of the education department of the city council, Hanna Lychko, said that for Mykolaiv, school №51 is of great importance, so it will be rebuilt. However, the technical council under the management of capital construction of the city council came to the conclusion that the building of the 51st lyceum must be demolished. After that, Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych announced that a new, modern facility with shelters for children would be built in its place.
Anatolii Petrov, the vice-mayor of Mykolaiv, said in a comment to NikVesti that the construction project of Lyceum №51 will be developed by the summer of 2024. Later, he said that they want to build three buildings there for primary, secondary and senior education.
At the same time, the Department of Energy, Energy Saving and Implementation of Innovative Technologies of the Mykolaiv City Council ordered the development of design and estimate documentation for the repair and installation of windows and doors in school №51.
It was also reported that at the international exhibition-conference «Rebuild Ukraine» in Warsaw, the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, presented projects for the reconstruction of kindergarten and school №51.
