As of the end of December 2024, the contractor had rebuilt the first floor of Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 60 in Varvarivka. Work began in the summer of this year.
This was announced by People's Deputy of Ukraine, member of the parliamentary budget committee Oleksandr Pasichnyy.
The reconstruction of the educational institution was divided into three phases of work, the first of which is currently underway, the People's Deputy clarified.
«It involves building a new building from scratch, where there will be classrooms, elementary school classes, an assembly hall and, most importantly, a shelter. The completion of the first stage will allow the institution to resume full-time education, which is currently the main priority», — said Oleksandr Pasichnyy.
The cost of the first phase of work is 102.5 million hryvnias — allocated from the fund for liquidating the consequences of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. The total cost of all three phases of work on the reconstruction of the lyceum is 460 million hryvnias.
«The first phase of the renovation is planned to be completed by the end of 2025. The pace is really good, the first floor has already been erected. The difference is visible from the previous visit in September, when work on the foundation was just beginning», — added Oleksandr Pasichnyj.
The MP also spoke with the lyceum director and teachers.
«They are really looking forward to the end of the restoration and the return to in-person learning. Teachers showed their classrooms, talked about the methods they use to interest and motivate students, as well as the materials that were saved from the destroyed building. For these people, school is life. They are dedicated to their work and are looking forward to the time when learning will be offline again. We continue to work and restore our country in such a way that it will be even better than before the full-scale invasion!», — added Oleksandr Pasichnyj.
