The commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine considered projects for obtaining state funding for the repair or construction of shelters in schools. The MES approved seven such projects in the Mykolaiv region.
This was reported by the press service of the ministry.
It is noted that this year communities submitted projects through the DREAM accountability platform.
From April 18 to 26, the platform received 108 projects for subvention financing. Regional military administrations approved 64 projects.
The MES commission, in accordance with the criteria and recommendations of the OVA, selected projects that will receive funding for shelters in general secondary education institutions. These are 50 projects for the repair and construction of shelters, mainly in eight front-line and border regions. The total cost of these projects is 2.19 billion hryvnias.
Seven such projects were approved in the Mykolaiv region. This is the construction of three shelters and the repair of four protective structures and anti-radiation shelters.
Funds will also be received by:
- Kharkiv region — construction of 5 anti-radiation shelters and storage facilities and overhaul of 1 anti-radiation shelter;
- Dnipropetrovsk region — construction of 6 anti-radiation shelters and storage facilities and overhaul of 2 dual-purpose structures;
- Zaporizhzhia region — construction of 5 anti-radiation shelters;
- Chernihiv region — construction of 5 and repair of 2 anti-radiation shelters;
- Kherson region — construction of 3 protective structures and overhaul of 1 basement;
- Odesa region — construction of 3 dual purpose structures and repair of 1 structure;
- Sumy region — construction of 4 and repair of 1 anti-radiation shelter.
Also, four projects in the Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Khmelnytskyi and Chernihiv regions will receive state funding to complete the construction of shelters that began in 2023. According to the terms of the subvention, such projects should have already been financed and completed by at least 40%.
The estimate of projects in individual regions is smaller than the amount allocated by the government, so in the near future communities will be able to submit their projects within the scope of additional recruitment for subsidization and receive approval from OVA and review by the commission.
Details regarding additional recruitment will be published on the pages of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
We would like to remind you that the subvention for shelter in 2024 is distributed among institutions of general secondary education, which work according to the distance and/or mixed form of education. 200 million hryvnias of subvention will be sent to Mykolaiv Oblast.
