The damaged kindergartens and schools of the Pervomaisk community will begin to be restored from 2024, — the head of the SVA

Kindergartens and schools of the Pervomaisk community of the Mykolaiv region, damaged by Russian shelling, will begin to be restored in 2024.

Maksym Korovai, the head of the Pervomaisk settlement military administration, reported this in a comment to NikVesti.

According to him, students of the community are currently studying remotely, but next year it is planned to start face-to-face or mixed education format.

— First, all educational institutions that were destroyed or significantly damaged must be restored. Second, it is necessary that educational institutions meet the new requirements of the Ministry of Defense regarding shelters. The security component must be put in order. Currently, in our community, the educational process takes place remotely. Yes, all our educational institutions already had, so to speak, the simplest shelters and semi-basement rooms. But they are not used because all the facilities are damaged.

How fast will recovery take? I cannot say for sure today, but from 2024 we will make every effort to at least partially restore the conditions so that children can study face-to-face or in a mixed format, and during air raids — hide in the simplest shelters or dual-purpose buildings, — said Maksym Korovai.

So far, project and estimate documentation for the restoration of four schools and kindergartens of the community has already been prepared, added the head of the Pervomaisk settlement military administration.

— So far, we have developed design and estimate documentation for four educational facilities. It passed the examination, and we will continue to work on rebuilding these objects or carrying out emergency restoration work from the beginning of 2024. We will enlist the support of international partners, because, unfortunately, neither the local budget, nor the regional budget, nor the state budget will be able to fully cover these financial costs, — he said.
