Today only 10 families remain in the deoccupied village of Maksymivka of the Pervomaisk UTC of the Mykolaiv region, people cannot return home, because the village is completely destroyed.
This is stated in the NikVesti article «The shell is still lying under the house»: how the destroyed village of Maksimivka has changed a year after the occupation.
According to Ivan Volko, the head of the Kyselivka Starostat (local government body, — note), other local residents also tried to return to the village, but most of them left, realizing that they would not be able to restore their homes after the occupation by the Russian army.
— Currently, 10 households live in this village. Even more came in, but people looked at their houses, realized that they could not be restored and went back. Those who have the opportunity, and those who have partial destruction, return and build their houses, — said the headman.
In addition, most residents of Maksymivka cannot receive assistance under the «eVidnovlennia» program due to the lack of documents confirming ownership of the house. Thus, only three local residents applied for financial assistance under the program.
— In the village, most people do not have documents for the building. 10,000-15,000 hryvnias are needed to issue the documents now, but people cannot pay such sums. But still here, husband 3 submitted documents for «eVidnovlennia». As far as I know, they will get into the electronic queue and will go to them and calculate the destruction, — said Ivan Volko.
Previously, NikVesti wrote that in the village of Kyselivka of the Pervomaisk UTC in the Mykolaiv region, about 60% of residents do not have documents that would confirm their right to a house. Because of this, they cannot apply for compensation from the state for damage or destruction caused by Russian shelling.
