Residents of Shiroka Balka complained about the contractor who, contrary to building regulations, installed curbs in a sand mixture during the renovation of Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue.

Mykola Kazakov, a local resident, told the editorial office of NikVesti about this.

The man said that after the repair of the road, the contracting organization «Mego LTD» installed curbs on a sand mixture instead of concrete.

— I am not an expert, but I have a complaint against the performers as a taxpayer. If you drive around Mykolaiv, you will see that in 90% of cases granite curbs are laid - they are laid evenly, there are no gaps. And in Shyroka Balka, I go home there every day, the curbs are laid on a sandy mixture — a mixture of sand and crushed stone. They do not hold. If a truck drives by, they will all fall over. So no one invests, you know? Mykolaiv's money is wasted, because, in my opinion, these curbs should not have been touched at all. Because where they have not been touched, they are even, — said Mykola Kazakov.

He also added that he tried to communicate with the employees of the contracting company regarding the quality of the installed curbs, but did not receive any response.

— In the same way, curbs are installed in the Korabelny district — crookedly, obliquely. This is a Vinnytsia firm that won the tender a long time ago. I approached their employees and asked: «What are you doing?». They are silent. Another company is doing work on Rybna Street — I see that they are putting curbs on concrete. I asked the master why. I was told that this is how it should be done according to technology, — added the resident of Mykolaiv.

Prior to this, in a comment to NikVesti, the deputy director of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the City Council, Ihor Nabatov, reported that the contractor was obliged to eliminate deficiencies in the arrangement of curbs, and if this is not done, a fine may be imposed.

— The Department has a question for the contracting organization regarding the arrangement of the boards. Because not all boards were installed in accordance with the requirements of urban planning legislation. There are works that have not been accepted and given a deadline for elimination. If this is not done, then this is the basis for the imposition of fines. Therefore, let's see how the contractor behaves, — explained Ihor Nabatov.

We would like to remind you that the contracting organization, which is engaged in repairing the road along Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue in the Korabelnyi district of Mykolaiv, has already missed the deadline for the work for the fourth time.

Earlier, NikVesti reported that the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the city council concluded a contract for the current repair of the road in the amount of 112 million 920 thousand hryvnias on Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue with the Vinnytsia enterprise «Mego LTD». Later it became known that the contracting company was disrupting the deadlines for the work. After that, the «anti-corruption» department of the city council threatened the contractor with a fine.

This firm actively worked in the Kherson region. Later, the publication «Hashi Hroshi» reported that the police are investigating the abuse of official position by officials of the Kherson regional administration and the «Local Roads of the Kherson region». In the course of the pre-trial investigation, it was established that within the framework of the «Major construction» program, the «Local Roads of the Kherson Region» State Government concluded a number of agreements regarding the repair of roads with «Buildgroup» LLC for a total amount of 62.89 million hryvnias and «Mego LTD» LLC — for 280.03 million.

After that, on August 14, the Housing and Communal Services Department reported that the contractor had already missed the deadline for the work for the second time. Thus, as of mid-August 2023, the repair of three sections of Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue was completed by only 30-35%.
