The deputy of the Voznesensk City Council demands an explanation from the city management in connection with the fact that Yana Syniavska, who was suspended from the position of managing affairs of the executive committee and is a suspect in a criminal case, represented the community at a meeting of the participants of the project «Cities and Communities Free from Domestic Violence».
In the Facebook group «Voznesensk, the city of dreams», deputy Viktor Osadchenko published an appeal to the mayor Yevhen Velychko.
He demands an explanation as to who Yana Synyivska represented the Voznesensk community at the official event, because she is involved in a criminal case related to embezzlement during the purchase of defense products.
It should be noted that about 30 representatives of cities and communities met in Kyiv on November 21-22 to discuss ways to overcome domestic violence and analyze the positive practices that are already active in communities.
Along with the decision of the session of the Voznesensk City Council, which took place on November 17, Yana Syniavska was removed from her position on the basis of a court order.
We will remind you that the decision of the October District Court of the Mykolaiv Region was made on October 16. The secretary of the city council, Victoriia Baltser, appears in the case of embezzlement during the purchase of defense products. According to the case, she passes as the organizer of the embezzlement of property in particularly large amounts. She was declared suspicious back in September of this year. Voznesensk vice-mayor Andrii Zhukov, who has already been removed from his post, as well as executive committee affairs manager Yana Syniavska and chief accountant of the executive committee Viktoriia Morozova are on the case together with her.
On May 4, the SSU detained Voznesensk vice-mayor Andrii Zhukov and two other officials. The deputy mayor is suspected of embezzlement during the purchase of defense products.
On September 18, it became known about the appointment of a new deputy mayor for the activities of the council's executive bodies. Liliia Bondarenko will replace the detained Andrii Zhukov.
