«Please let them go abroad to the children,» Mykolaiv deputy Kaliuzhna tried to draft a mandate, but she was persuaded to wait until March

Oksana Kaliuzhna, a deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council from the «For the Future» party, said that she wants to resign because of moving abroad.

She made the relevant statement during an online session of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, writes NikVesti.

During the meeting, Oksana Kaliuzhna asked the deputies to support her proposal to draw up a mandate and «let the children go abroad».

«Dear colleagues, dear Anton Viktorovych, I have written a statement on drawing up credentials. Please let go! I intend to go abroad to visit my children,» Oksana Kaliuzhna said.

To this, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, Anton Tabunshchyk, replied that he had previously communicated with the deputy to make sure that her decision was final.

After that, Oleksandr Mosin, deputy from «Proposition» turned to her with a proposal not to vote for this decision, but to give an opportunity to think about it once more and wait until the next session.

«We have known each other for more than a year. Any decision needs time to think. Maybe we will register your application, and we will vote at the next session. And during this time you will reconsider your decision or some changes will happen to you. I know you personally, I respect your opinion. I would not like to lose you,» said Oleksandr Mosin.

In turn, deputy Yurii Kormyshkin expressed his gratitude to his colleague for her decision and supported it, explaining that deputies have to live and work in Ukraine in order to support the region.

«I would like to thank our colleague for such a decision that she wants to terminate the powers of a deputy of the regional council in connection with the move. Several sessions ago, I suggested to those deputies who do not live on the territory of Ukraine, they should write a statement and not be a deputy of the regional council. It is necessary to live and support our Mykolaiv region, being here. I respect such a decision, and I think it is correct, I will vote for it,» said Yurii Kormyshkin.

During the voting, the decision was not taken due to insufficient number of votes — 28 «for», 2 abstained. To this, Anton Tabunshchyk replied that he was confident in Oksana Kaliuzhnaya's decision to give up the mandate. However, after persuasion, the woman agreed to wait until the next session.

«Colleagues, I am very pleased that you do not want to part with me. I still have time until March. I offer to support Oleksandr Mosin's proposal. Register today and we'll vote at the next session. Is that possible?» — asked Oksana Kaliuzhna.

«Yes, the decision has not been made, we work exclusively in the legal sphere,» replied Anton Tabunshchyk.

«Then yes. Thank you!» said the deputy.

As a reminder, Oksana Kaliuzhna was elected a deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council in 2020.

In March 2023, five more deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council gave up their mandates.
