In the Mykolayiv region, 7 mother and child rooms were opened in 2024.

Alla Velikhovska, director of the Department of Education and Science of the Mykolaiv University of Applied Sciences, told about this during a briefing on Friday, December 22, NikVesti writes.

The offices were put into operation thanks to the help of the international fund «Save the Children».

«This year, we opened 7 rooms for mothers and children at the social welfare offices and centers for the provision of social services. This is also a significant contribution to the process of creating barrier-free access, given that the number of IDPs and persons applying for help to social security agencies has greatly increased,» Alla Velikhovska said.

As a reminder, 100 students from ten schools of the Mykolaiv region, who joined the civic education program from Spirit of America and savED, presented the projects they worked on during two months of study.
