The head of the department of culture, nationalities and religions of Mykolaiv RMA Olena Buberenko told about this, NikVesti writes.

Currently, the administration is working with law enforcement bodies and local self-government bodies of the territories where thefts were detected to bring the culprits to justice.

In addition, during the past year of 2023, the Department of Culture of Mykolaiv Oblast managed to return 6 archaeological monuments of the Mykolaiv Oblast that were privatized to state ownership.

«The process of protecting the interests of the state in the courts has been initiated with the aim of returning archaeological monuments from private to state ownership. To date, 6 objects have already been returned, 9 lawsuits are still in court,» said Olena Buberenko.
