The first service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was opened in Odesa, which will provide services during an air alert.
Oleg Kiper, the head of Odesa RMA, announced this.
According to him, a shelter was equipped in the building of the new service center, in which 8 workplaces were arranged. During an alarm, there can be 100 people in the shelter.
«The renovated center occupies an area of 387 square meters, of which 244 square meters is the main room for 16 workplaces (compared to the previous location where there were 12 workplaces) and 143 square meters is a shelter equipped with 8 workplaces. The shelter accommodates about 100 people, and it is here that in the event of an air alert signal, services will be provided so as not to interrupt the process of customer service,» the message reads.
Oleh Kiper noted that only in August, 55 air warning signals were sounded in Odesa region with a total duration of 42 hours.
«It affects the work of absolutely all industries. Therefore, a decision was made to change the location of one of the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Odesa and move it to a new premises,» he wrote.
We will remind you that during the summer of 2024, an air alert was announced on the territory of the Mykolaiv region 328 times: 126 — in June, 115 — in July, 87 — in August. According to the indicator of the total duration of the air alert, Mykolayiv region is in 6th place, Kherson region is in 7th place, and Odesa region is in 11th place.
