The quality of water in wells was checked in the Voznesensk region. Specialists recorded an excess of nitrate concentrations.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Specialists conducted a study of water quality in public wells. Out of 27 selected water samples, 21 samples exceed the maximum permissible concentration of nitrates.
The limit-permissible concentration of nitrates in water was found in the villages of Zelenyi Yar and Viktorivka of the Domanivka community and in the village of Konstantynivka of the Yuzhnoukrainsk City Council.
«Mykolaiv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention» emphasizes that nitrates in water pose a serious threat to health, especially for children under 3 years of age. Therefore, it is necessary to use water in bottles or at verified points of water supply,» the message reads.
We will remind you that in Voznesensk the issue of increasing the cost of water supply and drainage is being considered.
It was also reported that a 150 kW solar power plant was built at the main pumping station of the Voznesensk waterworks, which covers up to 30% of the electricity needs to supply the city with water.
Earlier it was reported that there is no water in Voznesensk and the settlements of the community for hours due to a prolonged lack of electricity.
We will also remind you that on July 15, there was an emergency shutdown of the water supply in Voznesensk, caused by excessive water consumption. During the weekend alone, consumption was 660 cubic meters per hour.
