The Mykolaiv region completed recruitment to vocational and technical education institutions, fulfilling the regional order by 81%. In total, this year, 4,000 students were enrolled in vocational schools, including 1,673 in the city and 2,356 in the region.

Liudmyla Komisarova, deputy director of the Department of Education and Science of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, told about this during a meeting of the commission of the Regional Council on Education, writes NikVesti.

In some institutions, in particular the Kazanka Agrarian Lyceum, the regional order was exceeded by 120% for technical professions, such as welder and car mechanic.

«This year, we completed 81% of the regional order. This is slightly less in percentage than last year, but the number of our students is actually higher. Almost 70% of our graduates were employed this year. Although the lowest employment rate was observed in 2022 (32%), today the situation has improved significantly. We recruit students mainly under the employer, so each of our students has an internship contract, Liudmyla Komisarova said.

According to Liudmyla Komisarova, there are 12 institutions of agricultural orientation, two institutions for training specialists in the field of catering, 11 institutions for industry and two for the service sector in the Mykolaiv region. It is planned to open new professions, in particular, cooks, masters of restaurant service, installers of information and communication equipment.

We will remind that as of the end of September 2024, Russian troops destroyed or damaged 10 out of 24 institutions of vocational and technical education in the Mykolaiv region.
