As a result of the Russian aggression in the Kherson region, more than 30,000 civilian objects were damaged. The housing sector suffered the greatest losses, accounting for almost 95% of all destruction.
Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of Kherson RMA, announced this.
27,600 private houses and 1,200 multi-story buildings came under enemy attacks.
In addition to residential premises, other objects of critical infrastructure suffered significant damage. Due to the destruction of schools, hospitals and social institutions, thousands of residents were left without the necessary conditions for life.
In particular, 149 schools, 112 kindergartens, 172 hospitals, 115 administrative buildings and 23 sports facilities were damaged or destroyed due to shelling.
In addition, more than 4,500 civilian objects have been restored in the region. The works are carried out at the expense of the state and benefactors of communities and other regions.
«The implementation of the government program eVidnovlennia is also ongoing. A decision has already been made to charge 1 billion 777 million hryvnias as compensation to more than 4,800 Kherson families whose homes were damaged or destroyed,» he said.
Restoration of the Mykolaiv region
As of February 2024, more than 30% of infrastructure facilities in the Mykolaiv region have been restored. Hospitals and bridges were restored the most, and the residential sector the least.
Last year, the Service for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure in the Mykolaiv Oblast concluded contracts for restoration and repair of facilities worth 7.8 billion hryvnias. This is the fourth place in Ukraine in terms of the amount of auctions.
During the full-scale war in the Mykolaiv region, 152 medical facilities were damaged and another 13 were completely destroyed beyond repair.
