Energoatom took another power unit of one of the Ukrainian NPPs out of planned and preventive maintenance ahead of schedule.
This was reported in the press service of Energoatom.
Workers completed the planned repair campaign 11 days earlier. Currently, 9 Energoatom power units operating in the territory controlled by Ukraine are ready for operation in the autumn-winter period.
«All scheduled technical work on the power units was completed ahead of schedule, including the key stage — restarting the power units with fresh nuclear fuel. Thanks to the prompt and professional work of our nuclear workers, we will confidently pass through the most difficult period for the country and provide light and heat to Ukraine and Ukrainians!» noted the head of Energoatom, Petro Kotin.
It was previously reported that Ukraine can survive the winter of 2024-2025 without power outages, provided that the Russians do not manage to destroy critical energy infrastructure facilities.
