The Russian army daily storms the positions of the 79th in the Kurakhove direction. However, even with such active enemy assaults, the Ukrainian military managed not only to repulse the attacks, but also to take prisoners.

A paratrooper of the 79th brigade with the call sign «Fran» told how one prisoner himself came to them.

«But he came himself (a Russian soldier, note). They drove near our position, disembarked. We destroyed them, but not all of them. There are three left. They were sitting in the garage. We blew up, half of the garage collapsed, and half remained. They sat for four days without water and food, and one of them decided to look for water. He came, and ours are sitting there,» says the soldier.

The military man adds: «In a couple of weeks we have 5-6 (prisoners of war, — note). It's only with us.»

We will remind that the paratroopers of the Mykolaiv 79th separate airborne assault brigade of the Tavriia brigade reported that in July they repelled one of the largest Russian assaults in the Kurakhove direction during the entire period of the full-scale war.

We will also remind you that the human rights organization «Media Initiative for Human Rights» reported that almost 1,300 servicemen from the Mykolaiv 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilinskyi are being held captive by the Russian Federation.
