Mykolaiv residents have been without electricity for more than 30 hours: what is currently known and where to recharge

As you know, on the night of November 28, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. As a result of the attack, the energy infrastructure was damaged, which led to large-scale blackouts in many regions, in particular in the Mykolaiv region.

The lights in the city went out around 5:40 a.m. on November 28. Despite an attempt to restore the supply, electricity appeared only briefly in the evening, after which it disappeared again. The head of RMA Vitalii Kim assured that the damage has already been detected, and the electricity supply will be restored by noon on November 29.

As of 12 o'clock, Vitalii Kim reported that the recovery has begun. The light will be turned on according to the schedules:

How the city adapts to the situation

Despite the power outage, a number of measures have been implemented in Mykolaiv to ensure stable daily life, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said.

Heating: Mykolaiv CHP is being warned about possible difficulties with heating efficiency in residential buildings. Air jams can form in heating systems, which complicates the supply of heat in the home.

In particular, condominiums, housing associations and management companies are urged to promptly take measures to ventilate indoor heating systems in order to ensure efficient operation of boilers.

Throughout the day, facilities will continue to operate on generators with possible technical interruptions. Residents are urged to approach the situation with understanding and remember who is the real culprit of the current circumstances.

Water supply points: during power outages, some of the points that supply purified water operate in emergency mode with the help of generators.

Notification systems: due to the Russian attacks in Mykolaiv region, there is a blackout, so the rescuers announce the air alert through loudspeakers. They move around the city and regions of the region to reach as many people as possible, providing information in conditions of lack of communication and electricity supply.
