Police deny detention of suspect in Odesa activist's murder: he is still wanted

Police have released photos of the man suspected of murdering activist Demian Hanul, and he is currently wanted. They also denied the information that he had surrendered voluntarily.
According to the National Police, the search for the suspect continues.
«The search for the shooter continues. We do not confirm the information that he surrendered voluntarily», law enforcement officers added.
As a reminder, the National Police is establishing the circumstances of the murder in the centre of Odesa, the press service of the murder reported on 14 March. According to media reports, the deceased was a civil society activist, leader of the NGO «Street Front» Demian Hanul.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko did not confirm the name of the deceased publicly, but called the murder high-profile and said that an investigative team and forensic experts from the Central Office of the National Police, headed by the head of the National Police Ivan Vyhivskyi, had arrived in Odesa to investigate.
