A new councillor from the «Propozytsiia» political party has joined the Mykolaiv Regional Council.

The decision was approved during a session on Thursday, 16 April, according to NikVesti.

The deputy in question is Kateryna Stokolias, who has replaced Vera Myronova, who previously resigned her seat.

Information regarding her registration and inclusion in the eighth-term council was announced by Yuliia Volchan, chair of the Mykolaiv Regional Territorial Election Commission. According to her, the decision to register Kateryna Stokolias as a councillor was adopted on 11 February.

It should be noted that Kateryna Stokolias is the spokesperson for the municipal enterprise Mykolaivpastrans and is a member of the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council. According to «Rukh Chesno», Kateryna Stokolias previously stood for election to the Mykolaiv City Council in 2020 (list №15, constituency №3). Furthermore, in 2015, she stood for election to the city council for the «DemAlliance» party in single-member constituency №31.

During the session, 43 councillors voted in favour of admitting the new councillor to the council, with one vote against.

It should be noted that in January 2026, a new councillor from the «For the Future» party joined the Mykolaiv Regional Council of the 8th convocation. The councillor’s mandate was awarded to Ihor Ivanuna.

Also, in July 2025, two new female deputies from the «Servant of the People» political party joined the Mykolaiv Regional Council. These are Kateryna Konoplyannikova and Albina Bondarenko.

It should be noted that in March 2024, Oksana Kaliuzhna, a representative of the «For the Future» party, resigned from her seat on the Mykolaiv Regional Council. Also, in June 2024, Ruslan Neroda, a regional councillor elected from the same party, resigned. Earlier, his wife, Aliona Kara, had also stepped down from her post.

Which other regional council deputies have resigned?

Since the start of the full-scale war, some members of the Mykolaiv Regional Council have decided to resign.

In 2025, Svitlana Fedorova, a deputy of the 8th convocation of the Mykolaiv Regional Council elected from the «Nash Krai» party, and Vladyslav Neveselyi from the «Servant of the People» party resigned from their posts.

In December 2025, deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council prematurely terminated the mandate of deputy Vira Myronova from the «Propozytsiia» party.

Deputy Yurii Kormyshkin announced his decision to resign in June 2024, stating that he was leaving politics. At the same time, the deputy announced that Nadiia Ivanova had been elected as the new head of the «Nash Krai» party faction in the Mykolaiv Regional Council. Meanwhile, the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal ruled to ban the activities of the pro-Russian political party «Nash Krai» within Ukraine.

And in March 2023, five deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council resigned from their seats.

Instead, two new female deputies from the «Nash Krai» party joined the Mykolaiv Regional Council to replace those who had resigned.
