Bashtanka re-launched the tender for the renovation of the town hall at a cost of ₴28 million

In Bashtanka, a contractor is being sought for the second time to renovate the town council building and fit out a shelter. The estimated cost of the work is 28 million hryvnias.

This is evidenced by data from the ProZorro public procurement system, NikVesti reports.

The first tender was announced in March. The winner was selected as Spetsbudkryvbas LLC. However, the contract was terminated on 7 April. It is noted that the Eastern Office of the State Audit Service in Zaporizhzhia Oblast conducted an audit of this procurement. The audit revealed violations during the review of the winning company’s tender proposal. Specifically, these relate to non-compliance with certain requirements of legislation and regulatory documents in the field of public procurement.

A new procurement has now been announced, and the submission of tender proposals is ongoing. The winner is due to be selected after 14 May.

The project involves the renovation of the basement of the Bashtanka City Council’s administrative building, including the restoration of the building itself.

According to the tender documentation, the project involves a range of repair and construction works, including demolition work in the basement, as well as on the first and second floors of the building. The contractor is required to insulate the floor, repair and finish the walls, install new partitions and lintels, and create a separate entrance to the shelter.

In addition, the renovation works include the installation of a new roof, a lightning protection system and ventilation, the upgrading of water supply and drainage systems and heating, electrical works, the installation of a fire alarm system, and the procurement of necessary furniture and equipment.

All work is scheduled to be completed by 25 December 2026.

The DREAM system states that the Bashtanka City Council building was damaged as a result of several shelling incidents. The first occurred on 7 June 2022. On that occasion, windows were blown out of the building’s façade, the roof was damaged, entrance and internal doors were shattered, and the interior fittings were damaged.

The second shelling took place a month later, on 5 July 2022. On that occasion, a direct rocket hit in the courtyard of the Bashtanka City Council, approximately three metres from the building, damaged and deformed the external wall of the basement, the external walls, internal partitions, floor slabs and the roof.

It was previously reported that plans are underway to establish a shelter for stray animals in Bashtanka. A plot of land has already been identified for its construction.

Restoration of the hospital in Bashtanka

The multi-specialist hospital in Bashtanka was hit by a rocket strike on 19 April 2022. As a result of the attack, the polyclinic building was damaged and two hospital wards were partially damaged.

The Mykolaiv Regional State Administration has announced a tender for the reconstruction of the medical wing of the Bashtanka general hospital. The works have been estimated at 139.7 million hryvnias. A tender for the repair of the roof of one of the hospital buildings had also been announced previously.

In June 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 45.3 million hryvnias for the reconstruction of the hospital’s medical wing in Bashtanka. A further 86.8 million hryvnias was earmarked for the reconstruction of the polyclinic.

Subsequently, the government allocated 251 million 107 thousand hryvnias for the reconstruction of the partially destroyed Bashtanka Multidisciplinary Hospital in 2024.

In total, the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration was to spend 311 million hryvnias on the reconstruction of the hospital in Bashtanka, but the prices of building materials turned out to be higher than market prices.

Following this, at the end of August 2024, the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration signed two contracts for the reconstruction of the buildings of the Bashtanka General Hospital, totalling 314.2 million hryvnias.

At the same time, thanks to cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), work began in Bashtanka to renovate the surgical ward of the general hospital.
