During an official visit to Kyiv, a bipartisan delegation from the United States expressed support for the actions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region. Senator Richard Blumenthal noted the historic breakthrough, and Lindsey Graham called for support for Ukrainian forces.
This is reported by «Radio Liberty».
“Today is a day of hope, more hope than I have seen in all my trips here. The breakthrough in the direction of Kursk is historic. This is a seismic breakthrough. This is good, big news that promises even more potential breakthroughs. But the main news is that Ukraine is in Russia. It is moving the struggle to the territory of Russia,» noted Democratic Party Senator Richard Blumenthal.
He is convinced that such actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will force Russia to transfer troops from other areas of the front to Kursk region.
In turn, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham also praised the Ukrainian forces for the operation in the Kursk region.
«What do I think about Kursk? Bold, brilliant, beautiful. Keep it up! Putin started it, beat his ass,» he said.
It is reported that both senators called on Joe Biden's administration to lift restrictions on the use of American weapons provided to Ukraine.
«Let these people fight. Give them the weapons they need to win a war they can't afford to lose. As for F-16, all this is very long, they are already in Ukraine, so give the opportunity to use them. Let's train Ukrainian pilots,» said Lindsey Graham.
We will remind you that the day before, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the first time confirmed the conduct of an offensive operation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region of Russia.
