At one of the training grounds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, tests of the complex application of unmanned systems are being conducted for integration into the performance of tasks in the general system of combat orders of the troops.
This is reported to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
«The role of unmanned ground and air systems on the battlefield is growing rapidly. They perform a wide range of tasks, including strike, reconnaissance, engineering, logistics and evacuation,» the message reads.
It is noted that the Ministry of Defense is rapidly developing innovative projects in order to gain a technological advantage on the battlefield. The head of the department, Rustem Umyerov, identified this task as a priority, so this work is gaining momentum and scaling up.
One of these innovative projects is currently being tested. The project envisages the complex use of ground and air robotic and unmanned systems for the performance of certain combat tasks.
Specialists involved in its implementation note that the realization of this idea is a prospect of the near future.
«The Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces identified the development of robotic complexes and their mass application as one of the priority tasks. It is about system solutions and changes. The realities of war dictate new requirements. We must respond very quickly to the challenges of the times, always be one step ahead of the enemy, invest as much as possible in the development of innovative tools of war in order to have more capabilities on the battlefield,» said the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense reported that at one of the training grounds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, combat tasks are being performed by robots — reconnaissance drones, remotely controlled machine guns on turrets, sapper robots, ground logistic robots, etc.
«This is a unique experience of Ukrainian gunsmiths and IT specialists. We are watching how modern technologies are changing the architecture of warfare. Our common task is to provide our soldiers with as many modern samples of weapons and military equipment as possible. The successful implementation of this project and its scaling will contribute to the creation of an advanced industry of robotic systems in Ukraine. And most importantly, it will save the lives of our soldiers at the front,» Ivan Havryliuk summed up.
We will remind you that Ukraine has developed an FPV drone that can eliminate a target after losing contact with the operator. This became possible thanks to the use of new software based on artificial intelligence.
