The village of Kutsurub, located 12 kilometers from the occupied Kinburn spit, is under daily shelling by the Russian military.
Nikcenter journalists showed how the community currently lives in such conditions.
A resident of the village, Olena, says that they can see mortar fire and the use of anti-aircraft fire. She does not plan to leave with her child, despite the dangerous situation in the community.
«It shells very often. We are close. If the drones are launched, then we hear how they are shot down. Everything is visible, both mortars and MLRS. And where should we go? Who is waiting for me somewhere? My whole family is here, relatives. It's hard to be with a child. If I go abroad, I won't see my husband either,» says the woman.
Not many people left the village during the full-scale war. Locals even continue to work in the gardens under shelling.
«We live, we plant a garden. We are afraid We are working in the garden, something flies, we run away. While it`s flying, I will have time to drop to one knee. I want it to end sooner. Maybe we will live to old age?,» says Kutsuruba resident Olha.
Peasants' houses are often affected by the arrivals. During one of the attacks, a rocket landed in the yard and destroyed the home of a local resident.
«A year and a half ago, at six in the morning, a rocket flew in front of my eyes. All the windows were blown out, the car was damaged, the garage. And yes, they are constantly shelling. This front wall completely collapsed, I was rebuilding it. The Red Cross helped, the rural council,» Viktor said.
The Russian occupiers shell the villages of the Kutsurub community almost daily, as evidenced by the records of the Mykolayiv RMA. In February, during one of these shellings , doctors of the ambulance brigade from Ochakiv were injured.
