After the de-occupation of Bucha, on March 31, 2022, the police found 422 bodies of civilians, and in total, almost 1,190 bodies were found in the Bucha district.

Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Andrii Nebytov announced this on Facebook.

«After the deoccupation, 422 murdered civilians were found in Bucha, a total of 1,190 bodies were found in the Bucha district. And these numbers are not final... There are missing persons, the search for them continues. And we will not let the Russian killers forget about it. Many have already been found,» he said.

At the same time, Nebytov informed that the National Police has initiated more than 116,000 criminal proceedings on the facts of Russian war crimes in Ukraine, of which 23,000 were committed in the Kyiv region.

According to his data, as of today, March 31, 2024, 514 residents of the Kyiv region are considered missing, and 180 bodies of our citizens remain unidentified.

«Russia must answer for the grief it has brought to the civilians of Ukraine. For every life taken,» Andrii Nebytov emphasized.

We will remind, in Ukraine, 9 soldiers of the Russian Federation were convicted in absentia, who beat, tortured and threatened to kill a resident of Bucha.

We will also remind you that an installation was opened in Buchi in honor of the residents of the city, who were killed by the Russian military during the occupation.
