59% of Kherson residents consider employment difficulties to be the main problem of the city.
This is evidenced by the results of an online survey of Kherson residents regarding the socio-economic and security situation in the community, conducted on the order of the Kherson Community Fund «Zakhyst».
Another 37% of citizens name stray animals among the city's problems, 33% — a small number of shelters. Also, the five most urgent problems included «consequences of flooding the city after the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP dam» and «unfair distribution of humanitarian aid», but their changes are within the margin of error.
Other problems include difficulties in obtaining medical care, power outages, and late garbage collection.
The research was conducted by the Kherson Community Fund «Zakhyst» charitable organization within the framework of the Program for the Promotion of Public Activity «Join!», funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Pact in Ukraine.
The report was compiled based on the results of an online survey based on an interactive structured questionnaire, a link to which was sent to potential respondents from the database of the online research panel of the Kherson community.
The sample was formed on the basis of demographic indicators as of January 1, 2022. With such indicators, the research error does not exceed 5% with a probability of 0.95. The sample includes Kherson residents who are currently in the community, as well as those who left Kherson after February 24, 2022 and are currently in other regions of Ukraine or abroad.
