According to ABC News, due to communication problems, flights of major US airlines were suspended, including Delta, United and American Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Allegiant and SunCountry. Turkish Airlines has also suspended flights due to a «major global disruption,» reports the Report.

As reported by Forbes with reference to representatives of the Minister of the Interior of Australia, the failure is apparently related to a problem at the international cyber security company Crowdstrike, and the national cyber security watchdog said that there is no information to suggest that it was an attack.

CNBC also indicates that CrowdStrike suffered a «major outage» due to a faulty update that affected businesses worldwide. Thousands of Windows computers have encountered the so-called blue screen of death (BSOD) while booting.

CrowdStrike said the Windows failure was related to its Falcon sensor, which is installed on computers and servers.
