Children from Mykolaiv who need special social attention and support will be sent for rest and rehabilitation. The children will go to different regions in the west of the country for 14 days.
The commission of the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council made the relevant decision on Wednesday, April 24, NikVesti writes.
Children will be sent to health and recreation facilities with funds from the Mykolaiv City Council budget.
«Despite the war, we continue to improve the health of children who really need it. We adopt this procedure every year, if changes are made — we take them into account. We are moving towards ensuring that our children can have a rest in the summer,» said Yuliia Kravchenko, head of the children's service of the Mykolaiv City Council.
She added that the draft decision has already passed anti-corruption and legal examination. The decision was supported by all 14 members of the commission.
Yuliia Kravchenko clarified in a comment to NikVesti journalist that the program is designed exclusively for children from Mykolaiv, as well as those children registered in the city as an internally displaced person.
«There are about 20 categories that are provided with free rest. On the first place in this list: orphaned children, children who are deprived of parental care, children of combatants, children of fallen soldiers. The list also includes gifted and talented children,» she said.
In general, this year Mykolaiv City Council allocated 8.5 million hryvnias for such a vacation. For this amount, the children's service will be able to take about 500 residents of Mykolaiv to rehabilitation and rest.
«I say approximately, because we announce tenders and auctions through ProZorro. During the auction, the price can be reduced, so we can provide more children with a vacation. The price of this ticket already includes a transfer,» said Yuliia Kravchenko.
Children will be able to relax in three Ukrainian regions: Zakarpattia, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk.
«We take into account two conditions: health facilities must have a higher category and be located in a mountainous area. It will be a little safer there than here. The first check-in will take place on May 31, the period of stay of children in such institutions is 14 days,» Yuliia Kravchenko specified.
According to her, documents for obtaining a travel permit can be submitted to Mykolaiv district administrations from May 1.
We will remind that almost two thousand children of the Mykolaiv Oblast are registered with the Children's Service.
