Mykolaiv is among the regions where the most damaged hospitals were repaired during the war

As a result of the war, 152 medical facilities were damaged in Mykolaiv Oblast, and another 13 were completely destroyed beyond repair. So far, 82 facilities have resumed operation.
This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
To date, as of mid-July 2024, Russia has already damaged 1,636 medical facilities and completely destroyed another 214.
Medical facilities in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions suffered the greatest losses.
Currently, 82 medical facilities have been fully restored in the Mykolaiv region, and 50 have been partially restored.
«During this time, it was possible to fully restore 524 facilities of medical institutions, and 361 were partially restored. The largest number of facilities were restored in the Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions. These are medical facilities in territories liberated from occupation, as well as facilities that have suffered minor damage: broken windows, destruction of the roof, damage to the facade, etc. Work on the restoration of medical facilities will continue,» added the Ministry of Health.
We will remind that this year the government allocated 251 million 107 thousand hryvnias for the reconstruction of the partially destroyed Bashtanka multidisciplinary hospital.
In total, the government allocated 1.2 billion hryvnias to the Mykolaiv region this year for the restoration of objects damaged during the war. These funds have already been approved by the budget committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at a meeting on March 25, People's Deputy Oleksandr Pasichnyi told NikVesti. In addition to the Bashtanka multidisciplinary hospital, the objects also include the reconstruction of six sections of the waterworks in Mykolaiv, the restoration of the historical building of the Mykolaiv Gymnasium No. 2, and the restoration of the destroyed building of the Mykolaiv Lyceum №60 in Varvarivka.
