Mykolaiv Olympic champion Olha Kharlan will sell her saber at a charity auction

Mykolaiv Olympic champion Olha Kharlan will sell at a charity auction the saber with which she delivered the decisive blow in the final of the team fencing competition at the Olympic Games in Paris.

The funds received will be used for the purchase of ShaBlia automated turrets for our military.

The athlete announced this on the Serhii Prytula charity fund page on Instagram.

The auction will take place on August 15 at 19:00 on the Facebook and YouTube pages of the Serhii Prytula Charitable Foundation.

«The Foundation announces an auction for the sale of Olga Harlan's saber. The most decorated Ukrainian athlete in the history of the Olympic Games handed us the saber that was used to deliver the winning blow in the final fencing match at the Olympic Games in Paris. This saber has already brought gold to Ukraine, and we will make it useful at the front!» wrote the organizers of the auction.

In addition to the auction, the foundation organized a special bank, where every donation of 200 hryvnias or more gives the opportunity to become a participant in the raffle of a flag with Harlan's autograph. The largest donor will have the opportunity to have coffee with Olha Kharlan.

We will remind you that at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris on Monday, July 29, the Mykolaiv fencer Olga Harlan won the women's saber competition. She defeated her South Korean opponent Choi Sebin with a score of 15:14.

Women's saber competitions were also held at the Olympic Games. Mykolaiv fencer Olha Kharlan won the decisive battle for bronze. At the same time, Olha Kharlan played a key role on the way to gold in the team tournament.

In general, Mykolaiv sportswoman Olha Kharlan became a six-time Olympic medalist, winning the gold of the team saber fencing tournament at the 2024 Games.
