In Ukraine, due to the invasion of Russia, 542 children have already died and another 1,289 children have been injured.

This is reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.

«More than 1,831 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of April 11, 2024, according to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 542 children were killed and more than 1,289 were injured of various degrees of severity,» the message reads.

The data is not final. Work on their installation in places of hostilities, in temporarily captured and liberated territories, continues.

The largest number of children were affected in Donetsk Oblast — 529, Kharkiv Oblast — 346, Kherson Oblast — 149, Kyiv Oblast — 130, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast — 130, Zaporizhia Oblast — 107, Mykolaiv Oblast — 103.

It is reported that on April 9, a 12-year-old boy was killed as a result of Russian shelling of Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region. On April 10, a 10-year-old girl was killed and a 4-year-old girl was injured in Chornomorsk, Odesa region, due to shelling by Russian troops. Also, on April 10, a 13-year-old girl was killed and a 16-year-old boy was wounded as a result of shelling by the invaders in Lyptsi, Kharkiv region.

We will remind that four more children were returned to Ukraine from the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region.

Also, a minor child who had not seen his parents for two years was recently returned from the occupation.
