Donetsk «Shakhtar» is interested in the left winger of the Brazilian «Corinthians» Wesley and is ready to pay 20 million euros for the transfer. This is reported by Sportarena with reference to UOL Esporte.
It is noted that the «miners» are ready to offer a guaranteed 16 million euros for the player and another 4 million in bonuses, but, most likely, such an offer will still not suit «Corinthians».
It is reported that a representative of the Donetsk team attended Corinthians' 1-1 draw with Bragantino on August 11 to see Wesley perform live.
It is also noted that the Moscow «Spartak» made a similar offer to Shakhtar for the player, but the Sao Paulo club refused. Before that, in May, an unnamed Bundesliga club was ready to pay 20 million euros for Wesley. The Brazilians hope to get 25 to 30 million for the player, so negotiations may not be easy. Recently, «Corinthians» already rejected two offers from «West Ham», which was ready to pay 18 million euros, writes Tribuna.com.
In 2024, Wesley played 44 matches at the club level, scoring 5 goals and 4 assists. The Transfermarkt portal estimates his value at 10 million euros.
Wesley's contract runs until 2027, with a release clause of 100 million euros. The club owns 70% of the economic rights to the player.
Shakhtar has three points after two rounds in the championship of Ukraine. In the next match, the Miners will play with Livy Behr on August 18.
