Mykolaiv Greco-Roman wrestler Parviz Nasibov said that since the moment he won a license to participate in the 2024 Olympics, he has been training every day.
He told the UA-Football journalist about this.
«My training, you can say, has been going on for a long time. After the Olympics in Tokyo, I was already dreaming and thinking about the next Olympic Games in order to perform as well as possible and to climb a step higher. It so happened that I was left without a license at the World Championship. Three months ago, in Baku, I won a license for the 2024 Games. You can say that from that day, when I got my license, since then my training has not stopped. One of the most important such stages: I am currently undergoing assembly. It started last week and takes place in Koncha Zaspa. Meeting until the 21st, then I have a flight to France,» he said.
In addition, he noted that since the Tokyo Olympics, he has become more mature and wiser in wrestling.
«You know, the biggest advantage of this Olympics (in Paris, — note) is that I have become older and wiser in the fight and, so to speak, a little more experienced. And the biggest plus for me is that I have already walked this path and I hope that I will be able to walk this next path better and even more dignified than before,» he wrote.
He also added that due to the fact that the Olympic Games are held once every four years, this is «the biggest such burden.»
«Everything is quite difficult, because there is a lot of psychological pressure and I understand that these are the Olympic Games, they are held once every four years. This is the biggest such burden of responsibility and it is present in everyone without exception. I am already preparing myself for these games, as they say, «it's easier to walk on the well-trodden path.» That's why I walked this road and I hope that what I'm doing now, I'll do even better,» he said.
We will remind that the Olympic Games of 2024 will be held from July 26 to August 11 in France, Ukraine will be represented by 140 athletes.
