The Sports Department of the Mykolaiv Oblast said that there is currently no need to restore sports facilities that were damaged or destroyed as a result of Russian shelling.
The head of the department Mykhailo Nikolaiev told about this at the briefing, NikVesti writes.
According to him, today there is a great risk of being hit again. He predicts that it is possible to count on support from donors or the state in this matter no earlier than 2025.
«Some of them are located in territories where it is simply not expedient to do so. That is, there remains a great danger. But all this is in the projects, everyone wants to restore it, but today it is not in time. That is, we are given forecasts no earlier than 2025, in order to consider state support or donor support, which will give us the opportunity to restore these institutions,» said Mykhailo Nikolaiev.
We will remind, on January 20, Ukraine hosted the first boxing championship fight in more than two years. This sports event was also of a charitable nature, as its purpose was to raise funds for the reconstruction of Sport School №2 in Mykolaiv.
Later, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also joined the fundraising for the reconstruction of the sports school. A boxing glove signed by the president was raffled off at the charity auction.
