The Ukrainian kayak rowing team took fourth place at the Olympic Games - 2024 in the kayak four at a distance of 500 meters.
Mykolaiv athlete Oleh Kukharyk is a member of the Ukrainian national team, writes NikVesti.
In total, 8 teams made it to the finals of the competition. Ukrainian athletes beat teams from Lithuania, Serbia, Hungary and New Zealand, showing a result of 1:21:01. At that time, the team from Spain was ahead of the Ukrainian national team by 1 second (1:20:05) and took the bronze medal of the Olympic Games.
The gold of the competition was taken by the German team with a result of 1:19:80. Athletes from Australia became the silver medalists with a time of 1:19:84.
It is worth noting that for the first time in 28 years, Ukraine took part in the race in the men's kayak four at the Olympic Games.

Mykolaiv athletes in the 2024 Olympics

Women's saber competitions were also held at the Olympic Games. Mykolaiv fencer Olga Harlan won the decisive battle for bronze. At the same time, Olha Kharlan played a key role on the way to gold in the team tournament.
Thus, Olha Kharlan became a six-time Olympic medalist, winning the gold of the team saber fencing tournament at the 2024 Games.
