In Sumy, they want to spend 200 million hryvnias on cleaning the city all next year.

According to data from the ProZorro public procurement system, the tender was announced by the infrastructure department of the Sumy City Council.

The tender documentation states that it is about maintenance of the street and road network, sidewalks, artificial structures and landing platforms at public transport stops of the Sumy urban territorial community. The list includes 254 roads and sidewalks that must be maintained. We are also talking about 16 bridges and 315 public transport stops.

During the year, the contractor must monitor the condition of roads and roadsides, it is necessary to mow the grass, remove the covering from dust and garbage, as well as snow. Washing of road signs, application of road markings, cleaning at public transport stops is also provided for.

It is worth noting that in the local Telegram channel, the residents of the city expressed their dissatisfaction with the allocation of a significant amount for cleaning the city.

It should be noted that in 2023, the KP Shlyakhrembud was engaged in the maintenance of the street and road network and artificial structures of the Sumy city community. 42 million 390 thousand hryvnias were provided for the performance of the specified services. The list of objects subject to winter maintenance includes 70 streets (excluding the private sector), summer cleaning will be carried out only on 38 streets. Maintenance of bridges and drainage wells is also provided for. It is worth noting that the contract did not provide for the maintenance of stops. This service was provided by another company, which won a separate tender for 7 million hryvnias.

We will remind that the administrations of the Central and Zavodskyi districts of Mykolaiv plan to spend 10.5 million hryvnias on road cleaning during 2024.
