Six family-type children's homes want to settle in Odessa. The city authorities are trying to redistribute state subsidies to provide housing for these families.

This became known on October 8 during an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee of the Odesa City Council.

Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov said that six petitions were received from the city military administrations of Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson regions.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, local budgets can receive state subsidies to buy housing for such families. According to the calculations of the city commission, 57.7 million hryvnias is needed for this. The corresponding protocol was approved by the executive committee and according to the procedure, it was sent to the regional commission.

Now the city is waiting for a subsidy to implement the project.

«We hope that we will receive the subvention in full and will be able to purchase this housing by the end of this year,» the mayor concluded.

Previously, NikVesti reported that an internally displaced family-type orphanage operates in the Mykolaiv region, which moved from the Oleshky district of the Kherson region.
