Lithuania plans to transfer 4,500 drones to Ukraine by the end of this week.

This was announced on the social media platform X by Lithuanian Defence Minister Dovile Šakalienė.

She noted that the total cost of the drones to be transferred to Ukraine is 5 million euros. The Lithuanian government has also approved a new, faster procedure for the transfer of military assistance to speed up support.

«At the last government meeting, we approved a new accelerated procedure for the transfer of state property. These changes will significantly reduce the time required for the procedures, ensuring that aid gets to Ukraine quickly», she said.

Earlier it was reported that Norway has allocated 700 million Norwegian kroner (about $61.3 million) for a multinational initiative to purchase drones for Ukraine.
