Solar stations to be installed at water utility facilities in Mykolaiv — €300,000 from Danish partners

Solar power plants will be installed at the facilities of «Mykolaivvodokanal». The work will be funded by partners from Denmark.
This was announced on Tuesday, 4 February, by Alla Lutska, Director of the Energy Department of the Mykolaiv City Council, according to NikVesti.
According to Alla Lutska, Director of the Energy Department of the Mykolaiv City Council, technical specifications have already been prepared, and projects for four facilities are currently being developed.
«Funds for these projects are being allocated by the Danish company «DRC» as part of an initiative to increase the city's energy sustainability and promote a green transition. The main financial resource will be allocated to the energy sector, specifically to the installation of solar power plants at water supply and sewage facilities. The preliminary calculation of the technical specifications and feasibility study for the installation of solar power plants has already been completed. We are currently developing project documentation for four facilities,» she said.
The project costs 300 thousand euros, and work will begin in 2025. Solar panels will be installed at the following facilities:
- pumping station «Velyka Korenyha»;
- sewage treatment plant «Varvarivka»;
- pumping station «Matviivka»;
- sewage treatment plant «Matviivka».
As a reminder, solar panels were to be installed in Mykolaiv Regional Children's Hospitals in Bashtanka, Berezanka, Voznesensk, Mykolaiv Children's Hospital №2, as well as in Primary Healthcare Centres №4 and №6 to ensure autonomous operation in the event of possible power outages.
It is also worth mentioning that the Mykolaiv Recovery and Development Office received €100,000 to install solar power plants at City Hospital №1.
