The Development Agency of the Mykolaiv Region reported that they had already received two grants from the UN

The regional development agency of the Mykolaiv region received 2 grants from the UN in the amount of 100,000 dollars in three months of work to teach the communities of the region to write applications for international donors.

The Acting Director of the Agency Yevhen Babkov told about this during the briefing on Wednesday, February 21, NikVesti writes.

Grants from the UN Development Program in Ukraine were attracted to strengthen the work of the agency. In particular, it made it possible to find four project managers who will write projects to attract investments.

«These are international investments, applications submitted for grants. If these grants are won, then investments are attracted for the restoration or reconstruction of something, construction. So far, in three months of our work, we have attracted these funds and actually attracted another project. We are currently at the stage of contracting, but we have already received a letter of victory for the creation of a youth center in one of the communities of the Mykolaiv region for 10 thousand dollars,» Yevhen Babkov said.

Managers are also tasked with teaching communities how to write grant applications.

Yevhen Babkov noted that in each of the 52 communities, a network of representatives of the Agency has been created, who teach employees of various divisions and departments how to write applications.

«The project is for one year and when it ends, we want our communities to be able to write these grant applications and receive international funds on their own. These are not budget funds, but there are also budget grant programs,» he added.

As a reminder, by the end of the year, 60 modular houses will be built in two communities of the Mykolaiv region as part of the work to restore communities affected by Russian aggression.
