The village of Posad-Pokrovske on the border of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions was on the conflict line for 8 months. Every day, the villagers counted from 350 to 500 arrivals.
Larisa Sokolova, deputy mayor of Posad-Pokrovskoe, told about this in the NikVesti report «Posad-Pokrovske: A village that survived the shelling».
During the hostilities in the village, where only 20 people lived, the residents used an unusual method to count the shelling.
«Those people who remained put sticks on leaves. They counted from 350 to 500 flights per day,» said the woman.
As a result of shelling in Posad-Pokrovske, half of the village's thousand houses were completely destroyed, and others were partially damaged.
Previously, NikVesti visited the villages of Lupareve and Lymany. For the life of settlements in the conditions of war and reconstruction, see the report «How to live in a village when the occupiers are across the river».
