Photo: Mykolaiv Regional Military AdministrationOn the morning of 10 October, Russian troops fired multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) at the centre of the village of Dmytrivka in the Kutsurub community, Mykolaiv region.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
As a result of the shelling, a school, a block of flats, a shop and an administrative building were damaged. There were no casualties.
«Schools, blocks of flats and shops are civilian targets that have absolutely nothing to do with the military. Yet it is precisely these that are being targeted by the Russians. It seems their aim is simply to destroy normal life in Ukrainian towns and villages,» wrote Heorhii Reshetilov, acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
Shelling of Mykolaiv on 10 October
On the night of 10 October, the Russians attacked the centre of Mykolaiv with Shahed-type drones. Industrial and civilian infrastructure came under fire. As a result of the attack, windows in a block of flats, shops, office premises and an administrative building were damaged.
On Soborna Street, debris from the drones damaged shops, a chemist’s, a bar, a cheburek shop and several cafés. The damage is visible on the façades, windows and entrances of premises along the street. This part of the city had already been subjected to Russian shelling in 2022.
It should be noted that yesterday, 9 October, the Russians also attacked energy and industrial facilities in Mykolaiv with strike drones. A 64-year-old man was killed as a result of the attack.
