Yesterday, August 19, 42 fires broke out in the Mykolaiv region, one of which was caused by shelling.

This was reported in the Main Department of the State Service for Emergency Situations in the Mykolaiv Region.

According to the rescuers, a 1-hectare area of dry land on the territory of the Kutsurub community caught fire due to enemy shelling. Another nine fires broke out in the residential sector. There were no casualties. Cars were also engaged twice in the Pervomaisk and Voznesensk districts.

As for fires of dry grass, garbage, bushes, and harvest residues in open areas, 30 cases were registered. Fire and rescue units had to control the fire on a total area of more than 32 hectares.

«Even though summer is coming to an end, our citizens have not started to follow the rules of fire safety. The same mistakes: burning garbage in open areas «But it won't reach our houses» — hope for woe-pals, cluttering of backyards with shrubs, smoking cigarettes in hot weather in natural ecosystems, and even deliberate fires that do not lend themselves to human logic, says the message.
