In Mykolaiv, an emergency arch at the entrance to the children's town «Kazka» was dismantled. Earlier, local residents complained about its condition, fearing that the structure might collapse.
As the interim director of the town, Igor Pronin, told «NikVesti», the dismantling took place on 11 March.
According to the director, the installation of the new structure will take about a month. It will be carried out by the town's employees.
— I think we will finish by the end of the month. We don't employ many professionals. We do everything under the supervision of the culture department, so they are aware of the problems, - said Ihor Pronin.
The Department of Culture, in turn, noted that specialists will return the metal part of the arch without concrete blocks.
— This is a joint effort. There is a method of economic management: your own people, your own tools. Maybe an entrepreneur helps, and «Fairy Tale» does it itself. We don't single out anything. I and everyone else is interested in doing the job well and with high quality. We expect that instead of an emergency entrance, there will be a light fence, as a continuation, made of the same elements. It will be a beautiful entrance, - said Yuriy Lyubarov.
We would like to remind you that recently Mykolaiv residents complained that a pack of dogs «was attacking passers-by with strollers» in the children's town «Kazka». The director at the time, Natalia Demchyshyna, called the situation exceptional and said that there was no security on the territory of the children's space from the budgetary institution.
After this incident, the townspeople complained about the entrance to the playground from Soborna Street, which is in a state of disrepair. The columns are cracked and in some places whole pieces of concrete are falling off.
The entrance was not fenced off even three days after the news was published. As of 4 February, Mykolaiv residents continued to use it despite the potential danger.
On 6 February, it also became known that Natalia Demchyshina, the director of the children's town «Kazka», had resigned from her position.
It was only on 7 February that the town's staff blocked the entrance with tape.
