Interpol has declared Andrii Naumov, the former head of the Main Department of Internal Security of the Security Service of Ukraine, on international wanted list.

This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.

The name of the exhibitor was not mentioned in the message, but the story and the published photo point to Andrii Naumov.

The SBI, among other things, suspects the former official of fraudulently taking more than 3.2 million hryvnias during his tenure as the head of a state-owned enterprise during 2019-2021.

In June, Andrii Naumov was informed of suspicion of organizing forgery of official documents (Part 3 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). According to the investigation, he organized the forgery of official documents in order to avoid criminal liability in the Republic of Serbia.

The ex-SSU general was detained on June 7, 2022, while trying to get from Serbia to North Macedonia in a vehicle in which during customs control, almost 593 thousand euros, more than 120 thousand US dollars and precious stones were found.

In July 2023, the High Court of the city of Niš rejected Ukraine's request to extradite Andrii Naumov, the former head of the Main Department of Internal Security of the SSU.
