Ukraine confiscated a ship that illegally entered the ports of occupied Crimea

Maritime security and law enforcement officers detained a foreign ship that illegally entered the ports of the temporarily occupied Crimea for commercial activities. The court made a decision to hand over the ship to the state.

This was reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine.

According to border guards, the USKO MFU dry cargo under the flag of Cameroon violated Ukrainian legislation and international law. He was detained in Odesa in July 2024.

Recently, the Dnipro District Court of Kyiv decided to transfer the vessel to the National Asset Management Agency.

The border guards noted that the captain of the vessel is charged under Part 2 of Article 332-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the procedure for entering the occupied territories with the aim of harming state interests).

NikVesti reported that five plots of land belonging to citizens of the Russian Federation were confiscated in Mykolaiv Oblast.
